Privacy Policy
Ink & Warren Digital LLC (“Ink & Warren Digital LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida-registered limited liability company that operates the inkandwarrendigital.com website and publishes mobile applications for iOS and Android under the Ink & Warren Digital brand (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the third parties we share it with, and your rights with respect to that information.
Product-specific policies. Some of our apps publish their own privacy policies that describe the data practices of that single app in plain language. Where a product has one, it supersedes the corresponding sections of this general policy for that app: Element-ary’s privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
We do not require account creation for any of our Services. We do not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment information, or passwords unless you provide that information to us directly by contacting us at the email address below.
1.2 Website analytics
Our website uses the following analytics services:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — operated by Google LLC. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as page views, session duration, referrer URL, approximate geographic location (derived from IP address), browser, and device type. GA4 is loaded only after you grant consent through our cookie banner. We use Google’s Consent Mode to default analytics storage to “denied” until you accept. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes this data.
- Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights — operated by Vercel Inc. These services collect aggregated, cookieless analytics including page views, referrer, and browser/device type. This data is not linked to any individual. See Vercel’s privacy documentation for details.
1.3 App analytics (Firebase, iOS only)
Some of our iOS apps use Google Firebase Analytics (specifically the FirebaseAnalyticsWithoutAdIdSupport variant, which does not collect Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers) to gather anonymous gameplay telemetry. This includes events like games started, games completed, difficulty selections, and feature usage counts. No personal data, names, emails, or device identifiers are attached to these events. You can opt out of this data collection at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. Element-ary and any other apps not listed in §4 below do not ship Firebase Analytics. See Firebase’s privacy documentation for details on Firebase.
1.4 Mobile app data (iOS)
Our iOS apps are distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information as part of the distribution and crash-reporting infrastructure in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy. We may receive aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics through App Store Connect. We do not collect personal data within our iOS apps beyond what Apple provides in aggregate form, and our iOS apps do not run advertising SDKs.
1.5 Mobile app data (Android)
Our Android apps are distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect certain information as part of the distribution and crash-reporting infrastructure in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. We may receive aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics through Google Play Console. We do not collect personal data within our Android apps beyond what Google provides in aggregate form. Some Android apps (currently Element-ary in Free Play mode only) display ads through Google AdMob — see §1.6 below for what that entails.
1.6 Advertising (Android, Free Play mode only)
The Android version of Element-ary shows banner and interstitial ads from Google AdMob in its Free Play mode. The Daily mode is ad-free. AdMob may collect and process the following:
- Your device’s Android Advertising ID, a resettable identifier Google issues for ad personalization. You can reset or delete it at any time from your device’s system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most builds).
- Approximate geographic location derived from IP address, device type, OS version, and generic device identifiers for fraud prevention.
- Whether you tapped or viewed an ad, and aggregated metrics about which ads were delivered.
On first launch we present Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog, which records your preference for personalized vs. non-personalized ads in jurisdictions that require explicit consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). You can change this preference at any time from the in-app Settings screen. The one-time Remove Ads purchase (described in §1.7) disables ad requests entirely; we do not request ads from AdMob when the entitlement is active. See Google’s AdMob privacy & data documentation for details on what AdMob does with the data it receives.
1.7 In-app purchases (Google Play Billing, Apple StoreKit)
Our apps may offer one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases (for example, Element-ary’s Remove Ads). Purchases are processed entirely through the platform’s billing system — Google Play Billing on Android, Apple StoreKit on iOS. The platform shares with us only the purchase token and product identifier needed to verify and grant the entitlement; we never see your name, billing address, card number, or any other payment-method detail. The entitlement is bound to your Google account or Apple ID, so restoring it on a new device is a single button tap.
1.8 Game progress and preferences
Game state, settings, and progress in our mobile apps are stored locally on your device using each platform’s standard storage mechanisms — UserDefaults and local files on iOS, SharedPreferences and local files on Android. This data does not leave your device unless you use the platform’s cloud backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Drive backup on Android), which is governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies respectively.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses the following categories of cookies and storage:
- Essential storage. We use browser
localStorageto remember your cookie consent choice (key:iw_analytics_consent). This storage is required for the site to function and cannot be opted out of. - Analytics cookies. When you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (typically
_gaand_ga_*) used to distinguish users and sessions. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing theiw_analytics_consentvalue from your browser storage, after which GA4 will stop loading on subsequent visits.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social-media tracking pixels.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited data described above to:
- Understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it.
- Understand which game modes, difficulty levels, and features are popular so that we can prioritize development.
- Diagnose and fix technical issues in our apps and on our website.
- Track the overall popularity of features and content.
- Respond to inquiries you send us by email.
- Deliver ads in the Free Play mode of Element-ary, and verify in-app purchases when you choose to remove them.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not run our own behavioral-advertising pipeline, and we do not share data we collect ourselves with third parties for marketing purposes. Where we license Google AdMob to serve ads in Element-ary’s Free Play mode, Google operates as an independent controller of the data described in §1.6; we do not receive that data ourselves.
4. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on the following third-party providers:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and analytics (Privacy Policy)
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 for website analytics, Firebase Analytics for iOS app telemetry, Google AdMob for ad serving in Element-ary’s Free Play mode, Google Play Billing for Android in-app purchases, and Google Play distribution + crash reporting (Privacy Policy)
- Apple Inc. — Apple App Store distribution, StoreKit for iOS in-app purchases, and Apple’s standard crash reporting (Privacy Policy)
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their policies. In particular, AdMob users in regulated jurisdictions (EEA, UK, Switzerland) should review Google’s consent disclosures for the partners Google may share ad-request data with.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Data Retention
We do not store personal information on our own servers. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data is retained by Vercel, Google, and Firebase in accordance with their respective data retention policies. Direct communications you send us (such as support emails) are retained only as long as necessary to respond to and resolve the matter, and then deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by:
- Deleting the app from your device, which removes all local game progress.
- Clearing your browser’s site data for inkandwarrendigital.com, which removes the cookie-consent record and any GA4 cookies.
- Disabling anonymous app telemetry (where applicable) from within the Settings screen of the app.
- Resetting or deleting your Android Advertising ID from your device’s system Settings → Privacy → Ads. This disconnects your device from AdMob’s ad-personalization history.
- Re-opening the AdMob consent dialog from Element-ary’s in-app Settings screen to change your personalized-ads preference (EEA, UK, Switzerland).
- Purchasing Remove Ads from within Element-ary’s Settings to disable ad requests entirely.
For any other requests, including formal data-subject access or deletion requests, contact us using the information below. We will respond within 30 days.
8. International Users
Our Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
