In brief.
Word Twist is a word puzzle game. This policy describes the released app and purchase support planned for version 1.1, including Apple tracking permission, Google services, game data, purchases, and optional Game Center.
- 01There is no Word Twist account. The app does not ask for your name, email, contacts, or precise location. Service providers still process installation or device identifiers and may infer approximate location from your IP address.
- 02Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics start only after you allow Apple’s system tracking request. Declining or restricting permission keeps these services off; old app settings cannot grant Apple permission.
- 03Settings shows Apple’s current permission status and a link to iOS Settings. The former Share Usage Data and Send Crash Reports switches are removed. Earlier opt-outs remain honored if you later allow Apple permission.
- 04Google AdMob and its regional consent flow also start only after Apple permission. All ads are requested without personalization and with restricted data processing. Required regional consent is additional to Apple permission. An active Word Twist Unlimited subscription or an owned Remove Ads Forever purchase suppresses ad requests. The permanent option is planned for version 1.1 and is not yet available in the production catalog.
- 05Puzzle saves and progress remain on your device, subject to your device backup settings. Gameplay events, selected preferences, purchase events, diagnostics, and optional leaderboard scores can be sent to the services described below.
- 06You can play, purchase or restore available products, use optional Game Center, and get bonus hints without allowing tracking. Local diagnostics are optional and are not uploaded automatically.
Who we are.
Word Twist is published by Ink & Warren Digital LLC, a Florida-registered software studio. Where this policy says we, our, or us, it means the same small team.

What we collect.
The app does not send gameplay data to a studio-operated gameplay backend. Google and Apple process information for the services below. Support emails are received by the studio and its email provider. Nonpersonalized advertising still involves data processing.
Word Twist does not request contacts, location, microphone, camera, calendar, or health permissions. It requests Apple tracking permission after onboarding and before Google services. Optional daily reminders use notification permission. Apple handles in-app purchases.
How we use it.
The data above is used for four narrow purposes:
- To run the puzzle. Saving your guesses, tracking your streak, remembering your chosen theme and grid style, delivering what you purchased.
- To improve the game. Analytics tell us which difficulties are too easy, where players get stuck, and which modes people actually play. We read aggregate dashboards, not individual sessions.
- To keep the lights on. Ads fund the free version. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics help us ship better updates faster.
- To meet our legal obligations. Responding to lawful requests, resolving disputes, enforcing our terms. We push back on overbroad requests.
How long we keep it.
Local game progress remains until you reset it or remove the app. Device backups and exported diagnostic files can remain after app removal. Reset all progress does not delete records already held by Google or Apple.
Provider records follow the applicable service retention policies and project settings. Revoking Apple tracking permission stops future Google collection when the app resumes; it does not by itself delete records already held by providers. Contact us for help with deletion requests.
Session diagnostics are held in memory until cleared or the app process ends. Exported files remain wherever you save them until you delete them. Keep the export password separately; the app does not save it.
Your rights.
Your choices and applicable privacy rights depend on your location and the service holding the records. These controls are available in the app and through Apple. Contact us for assistance with access or deletion requests.
Children's privacy.
Word Twist is a general-audience puzzle game and is not submitted to Apple’s Kids Category. An App Store age rating describes content suitability; it does not mean the app collects no personal data.
The app requests nonpersonalized ads with Google’s general content rating. Advertising and analytics providers still process the information described above. If you believe a child has provided personal information and want assistance with deletion, contact hello@inkandwarrendigital.com.
Security.
iOS protects app data through its sandbox and device security controls. Service communications use encrypted network connections. Optional diagnostic exports use password-based AES-256-GCM encryption unless you turn encryption off. No storage or transmission method provides an absolute security guarantee.

Changes to this policy.
This revision covers the released app and version 1.1 purchase support: a planned one-time permanent ad-removal product alongside Unlimited, plus gameplay and sharing categories in optional local diagnostics. Production availability is shown in the app’s Store. Apple tracking permission remains required before Google services start; advertising remains nonpersonalized.
