Bookplate is a native macOS library for DRM-free books — the EPUBs, MOBIs, PDFs, and audiobook files you've bought, collected, and hoarded across a dozen folders. Drop them in and Bookplate organizes the mess: covers, series, and synopses fill in automatically from Hardcover, Open Library, and Google Books, every import is reviewed before anything is committed, and your edits always win over fetched metadata. Then it gets out of the way and lets you read — in a fast, typographically careful reader with themes, adjustable measure, and a paginated mode that feels like paper — or listen, in a chapter-aware audiobook player that remembers your place across formats. Built entirely with native frameworks: no Electron, no account, no telemetry. Your files stay yours, organized in plain folders you can walk away with at any time.
